Digital Warehousing

Transform your physical inventory into a dynamic, on-demand digital asset. Digital Warehousing replaces costly stockpiles of physical parts with secure, cloud-based 3D model files, ready to be printed locally and instantly whenever needed.

This innovative approach eliminates the constraints of traditional inventory management. By storing designs instead of objects, businesses can achieve unprecedented supply chain resilience, reduce carrying costs to near zero, and guarantee part availability for the entire lifecycle of their products.

In Depth Description

Elimination of Physical Storage Costs & Risks
Move beyond the expenses of warehouse space, insurance, security, and inventory management. A digital warehouse consolidates your entire inventory of spare parts, jigs, and fixtures into a secure server, slashing overhead and protecting your assets from physical damage, loss, or obsolescence.

On-Demand Production for Instant Part Availability
The era of waiting weeks for a critical spare part is over. With a digital inventory, any approved part can be retrieved and 3D printed locally within hours, not weeks. This drastically reduces machine downtime in manufacturing, keeps vital equipment operational, and delivers unparalleled service-level agility to your customers.

Combatting Obsolescence with Eternal Part Life
Parts that are no longer supplied by the original manufacturer no longer pose a problem. By securing the digital file, you guarantee the permanent availability of spare parts. This is a game-changer for maintaining legacy systems in aerospace, defense, and industrial manufacturing, ensuring operational continuity for decades.

Enhanced Supply Chain Resilience & Localization
Decentralize your production and insulate your operations from global supply chain disruptions. A digital warehouse allows you to print parts at the point of need—whether that’s a remote oil rig, a hospital, or a local service center in the UAE. This reduces dependency on international shipping and creates a more agile, responsive, and localized supply chain.

Streamlined Logistics and Rapid Deployment
The cost and complexity of packaging, shipping, and importing physical parts are eliminated. Instead of a global logistics operation, part distribution becomes a simple, secure digital transfer. This enables rapid deployment of tools and components across multiple sites, ensuring every location has immediate access to the same resources.

A Strategic Advantage for the UAE’s Forward-Looking Economy
For the UAE’s vision of a smart, resilient economy, digital warehousing is a foundational technology. It empowers businesses and government entities to build smarter, more sustainable operations. By adopting this model, local industries can lead the way in supply chain innovation, reducing waste and enhancing their competitive edge on a global scale.

3DX can process common mesh files, such as stl, obj, step, iges, 3dm.

We support mesh file types: STL, OBJ, STEP, IGES, WRL, WRZ, STP, IGS, PLY, ARC, CATProduct, CATShape, CGR, DLV, EXPm, IAM, NEU, PAR, PKG, PRT, PSM, SAB, SESSION, SLDPRT, STPZ, UNV, X_T, XAS, XMT, XPR, 3DM, 3dMXL, ASM, CATPart, IPT, JT, MF1, MODEL, SAT, U3D, VDA, VRML, X_B, HPMJF

Please note that while some file types will upload successfully, others may not be used to submit an order on our platform. We suggest you refer to the above lists to avoid any upload failures. 3DX does not accept drawing files (except when accompanied by a CAD file), or IGES and F3D files. Below is a list of exceptional file types and in what instances they can be used to place an order with 3DX: 3DX cannot currently quote or make parts based on assembly files. If you are interested in ordering an assembly, each part will need to have its own CAD file.

However, if you are uploading your Bill Of Material for production, 3DX will accept assembly files as supplementary information. Common assembly file types are .sldasm, .asm, .iam, and .catproduct. The only time you may upload a drawing file is when it's in conjunction with a CAD file, and it must be in PDF format. We do not accept .slddrw, .dxf, or .catdrawing files. We also cannot quote a project based on a drawing alone.
