- Off-the-shelf casings did not align well with the existing design
- Materials lacked the required thermal resistance and ESD safety

- 3D Scanning the LCD Area
The compressor’s LCD screen was scanned on-site using Shining 3D scanners
Accurate geometry data was captured for a perfect, non-intrusive fit - Digital Design & Optimization
The scanned data was reverse engineered using Geomagic Design X
A custom LCD shroud was designed in Fusion 360, with airflow and coverage
optimized for heat deflection - Advanced Material Selection & Printing
The shroud was printed using PA-CF material on 3DX’s AON3D FDM printer
The carbon-fiber reinforced nylon provided strength, stiffness, and thermal stability
Its ESD-safe properties added critical protection for electronic components - Testing & Validation
The printed casing underwent environmental and functional testing
Fitment, thermal shielding, and impact resistance were confirmed before final deployment
